The Land and Water Boards of the Mackenzie Valley (LWBs) are inviting comments and recommendations on a DRAFT of the LWB Reference Bulletin: Water Use (the Draft Bulletin). Comments and recommendations can be submitted through the Online Review System by April 24, 2024.

The Draft Bulletin reflects potential revised interpretations of the legislation that could be considered by the LWBs based on the feedback received in response to the Legal Interpretation Regarding Ice-Bridge Water Use. In order to present thorough evidence to the LWBs for consideration, LWB staff prepared the Draft Bulletin for review to provide all parties with adequate opportunity to consider the potential revisions. The LWBs have not yet made any decisions regarding potential revisions to the original version of the Reference Bulletin and the accompanying Annex, which remain in effect until further notice. Submissions from both public reviews will be considered by the LWBs in their decision on whether to revise their current interpretations.
