Tibbitt to Contwoyto Winter Road secondary route will include initial ice profiling, construction, operation, and maintenance of the winter road. The purpose of the secondary route is to relieve traffic from the main route, providing safer travel conditiions, and reduced traffic along Ingraham Trail, as well as providing an alternative in the event of deteriorating ice conditions on the southern protion of the TCWR.
