Permit is to conduct a geotechnical investigation. This investigation will potentially lead to the construction of a water reservoir and treatment plant at the site location, depending on the result of the investigation.
Scope of work includes;
Four geotechnical test borings, advanced up to 20m deep, depending on site conditions, using an auger drilling rig. The borehole locations will be field located using maps and a handheld GPS in order to provide suitable subsurface information;
The soil stratigraphy will be classified at the time of drilling and soil samples will be collected for lab testing;
Standard Penetration Tests (SPTs) will be performed in the soil at 1.5m (5 Ft) intervals to obtain information on the type and strength of the materials encountered.
